North Dallas

Our client requested an expansive front and back landscape renovation design worthy of our website. The front landscape was reinvented with lush plantings of dwarf palmetto Chinese indigo, juncus mix, and standard mondo grass. Passing through the iron entry gate reveals a tranquil courtyard garden with a minimalist fountain in basalt gravel, surrounded by a fern mix, Japanese aralia, and plum yews.

Working with an existing pool and a large cedar tree in the backyard, we reimagined the pool layout by replacing the dated spa with a sunken gathering area. Using sustainable bamboo decking, the curved seating bench wraps around a fire pit beneath a wonderful cedar tree canopy. Iron work echoing the front gate design alternates between planters featuring sunshine ligustrum, framing one side of the yard. This beautiful detail doubles as a deterrent for the family pets.

The pool was enhanced by adding a tanning ledge featuring views of the new custom concrete fountain wall with bespoke copper scuppers. A gourmet outdoor kitchen area with porcelain pavers sits adjacent to the pool, and a raised deck dining area rounds out the corner. Ginkgo trees, patio-form holly and Taylor junipers add screening and softness to this modern design.
