Our client embarked on a complete home renovation and wanted to both enhance the entry and add a pool as a focal point to the backyard, evoking a New Orleans vibe. Utilizing the client’s treasured antiques and artifacts combined with plantings, we were able to mimic a lush, eclectic secret garden experience. Planting within the Cajun courtyard included fringe tree, dogwood, hollies, Japanese maples, and hydrangea. We also procured handmade tile, Pennsylvania bluestone, and antique brick to achieve this unique aesthetic. Extra precautions were taken with pool placement and construction to preserve a 50-year-old red oak of personal importance to our client.
