Mockingbird
Our client wanted to convert an existing sports court into an adult patio space. The 12″ concrete slab presented a challenge, but we were able to cut into the old sports court to create a functional spa and water feature and manipulate the foundation to include the fireplace. We updated the concrete with an elegant porcelain tile and added a painted steel structure for ambiance and sun relief. A masonry wall with grill station and surrounding landscaping framed the area. Due to existing trees, we used shade-tolerant plants, including ferns, yews, liriope, and ajuga groundcovers.
